The Heart of any community |
So, you’ve been thinking, “What can I do to help build up L’Arche Spokane?” Well, of course, creativity knows no bounds, but here are a few things we came up with:

Attend our Open Community Night on the 1st Wednesday night of each month;
Befriend and create a relationship with one of our core members! Lunch, walks, movies, sharing a pop, shooting hoops, dancing lessons, cooking lessons, visiting comic book stores – friends are only limited by their imagination. There are so many ways to make a difference in someone’s life;
Conduct community prayer evenings once a month;
Assist planning our annual Community Retreat;
Be available for Spiritual Direction for a core member or an assistant;
Be willing to lead Assistants’ Sharing once a month on any topic of interest;
Hospital visitations;
Sit on the Board of Directors;
Accompany an assistant as they grow in L’Arche;
Support the Community in Prayer;
Help with housework and yardwork;
Offer your home to assistants on their days off;
Office reception;
Volunteer for fundraisers. Many hands make light work!
Just be a friend to the Community!
